My trip on Lake Maggiore turned out to be the best escape from my daily routine ever and my search for holiday home led to this corner of Italy where you can still live "La Dolce Vita" to the fullest. I always heard of Lake Como but I didn't know much of Lake Maggiore when I decided to widen my search for a property to this area; what I found really surprised me. Thanks to Raffaella, my agent, I discovered wider spaces and a better variety of landscapes and lifestyles: from life directly on the shores enjoining the water, to the peace and quiet of life in the hills with breathtaking views, to historic small hamlets on smaller lakes, to alpine valleys and ski resorts, all at a very short distance. A relatively undiscovered gem to enjoy all year round.
